1. Compressors
1-2. Procedure for Replacing one faulty Compressor
Start
Turn off the faulty outdoor unit (PC unit)
Close the valves (three) of the faulty outdoor unit
Change the AD unit quantity settings of the C.C.U.
Short-circuit the AP service pin on the outdoor unit PCB of the faulty outdoor unit, and then turn on
Enable normal operation of the normal outdoor units (backup)
Recover the refrigerant of the faulty outdoor unit
Turn off the faulty outdoor unit
Replace the compressors
Turn on with the AP service pin on the faulty outdoor unit PCB short-circuited
Inspect for leaks in the faulty outdoor unit
Measure the oil level
Make a vacuum in the faulty outdoor unit
Inject oil and refrigerant
Fully open the valves(balance, liquid, and gas pipe valves)
Remove the short-circuit at the AP service pin
Return the AD unit quantity settings of the C.C.U. back to the normal setting
Inject refrigerant until full
End
NOTE
1. Ref. P VI-10, Backup Operation, under Control Functions.
2. When the AP service pin is short-circuited, the compressors and fans of the faulty unit (PC unit)
are stopped, the solenoid valves and electronic expansion valves are fully opened, and all trans-
mission is stopped.
3. Be sure to first check the injection amount of the refrigerant and oil, and then check the recovery
amount.
4. If the short-circuit of the AP service pin is removed when the power is left on, transmission with
the C.C.U. is restarted.
5. Even if an alarm (E26) has occurred, operation is restarted when the unit quantity setting is
returned to normal. The power does not need to be turned on and off again.
6. Perform immediately once the oil and refrigerant are injected.
7. Perform this operation if you were unable to inject the specified amount using the normal injec-
tion procedure.
