PCS UHF LO Channel 600 Spectrum

Measure the signal purity of the UHF LO and check the spur level offset from the carrier.

Also, check the VCO, PLL IC, loop filter, and power supply decoupling.

Key observations:

• Clean and spur-free signal

• 30kHz offset -84dBc

• 50kHz offset -87dBc

• 60kHz offset -85dBc

• 90kHz offset -88dBc

Note: The view in Figure 45 maybe difficult to accomplish without a high impedance probe and a high

dynamic range spectrum analyzer.

Measure the signal purity of the UHF LO and check the spur level offset from the carrier.

Also, check the VCO, PLL IC, loop filter, and power supply decoupling.

Key observations:

• Clean and spur-free signal

• 30kHz offset -83dBc

• 50kHz offset -92dBc
