4.3 Check the print unit
Before you start, switch
of the system with the
'moon button' on the
operator panel.
4.3.1 Check the print-belt for contamination
Rev 1,2,3,4 – Open the lower and middle front doors from the print unit. Use a
flashlight to check if the print belt is contaminated with ink.
In case you find contamination, clean the print belt with PML and a dust free cloth
(TX1004 Alphawipe).
This action is considered to be normal maintenance actions which can be executed by every

4.3.2
Check the print-belt damage
Rev 1,2,3,4 - Use a flashlight to check if the print belt is damaged or has a crack.
Open the left hand flap (1) and rotate the print belt manually. Check at the location of
the roller, on the very right hand side.
In case you find damage. Stop printing
immediately as it can cause major
damage to the system. Inform the local
service organization.
4.3.3
Clean the inner-side of the print-belt
Rev 1,2,3,4 – Start the maintenance action for cleaning the bottom-side of the print belt.
