Region 4 encoded DVD software. The region code on the labels of some DVD discs indicates which type of DVD Recorder can play those discs. This unit can play only DVD discs labeled 4 or ALL. If you try to play any other discs, the message “Incorrect region code. -

The front panel display is not working. The DVD Recorder is not operating normally..you can reset the DVD Recorder as follows: Press and hold the POWER button for at least five seconds. This will force the unit to power off. -

To obtain a clear picture The DVD Recorder is a high-tech, precision device. If the optical pick-up lens and disc drive parts are dirty or worn, the picture quality will be poor. -

PROG. (+/-) Scans up or down through memorized channels. Shows the current status of the DVD Recorder. Point the DVD Recorder remote control here. Go to beginning of current chapter/ track or to previous chapter/track. Press and hold for two seconds for a fast reverse search during playback. -

Station Seek: Searches a station automatically. Use b / B to select Seek option then press v / V. Searching stops when the DVD recorder tunes in a station. Ch.: Changes the channel number to edit. Use b / B to select Ch. -

Turn the TV on and select the video input source con- nected to the DVD Recorder. Audio system: Turn the audio system on and select the input source connected to the DVD Recorder. Press OPEN/CLOSE (Z) to open the disc tray. Load your chosen disc in the tray, with the playback side down. -

The recorder will now go into PAUSE mode. 2 Press SCAN (m or M) during PAUSE mode. The DVD Recorder will enter SLOW mode. 3 Use the SCAN (m or M) to select the required speed: t 1/16, t 1/8, t 1/4, or t 1/2 (back- ward), or T 1/16, T 1/8, T 1/4, or T 1/2 (forward). -

With DVD-RW discs recorded in VR mode that have both a main and a Bilingual audio channel, you can switch between Main (L), Bilingual (R), or a mix of both (Main + Bilingual) by pressing AUDIO. -

Audio CD and MP3 Operation Playing an Audio CD or MP3 Disc The DVD Recorder can play audio CDs. Also, the DVD Recorder can play MP3 formatted recordings on CD-ROM, CD-R or CD-RW disc. Before playing MP3 recordings, read the notes on MP3 Recordings on page 36. -
