1. Ensure that all components have been reassembled correctly and that no tools or loose screws are left
inside your computer. See "Computer components" on page 5 for the locations of various components
in your computer.
2. Ensure that the cables are routed correctly before reinstalling the computer cover. Keep cables clear of
the hinges and sides of the computer chassis to avoid interference with reinstalling the computer cover.
3. Position the computer cover into place and then press the bottom edge of the computer cover as
shown until it clicks into position.

4. Install the computer stand. See "Replacing the computer stand" on page 52.
5. Place the computer in an upright position.
6. If a locking device is available, use it to lock the computer. See "Locking your computer" on page 29.
7. Reconnect the external cables and power cords to the corresponding connectors on the computer.

8. Update your configuration. See "Using the Setup Utility program" on page 33.
9. If a newly installed hardware component does not work normally, update the device driver. See
"Keeping your computer current" on page 26.
