    Using Your Portable Speaker Charging Your Portable Speaker When to Charge First-Time Use—Before you can use your portable speaker, you need to charge its self-contained battery for two hours. Recharging—When you hear five rapid high tones through the portable speaker, repeated at 20-second intervals, the speaker battery needs to be recharged.
