Program Mode Introduction The Model 6585 Handheld Controller is a portable terminal. It is used in the field to enter the transponder ID into the Status Monitoring System. It also checks the alarm status of a transponder and monitors analog channels, controls, and switches.

Operating the Handheld Controller Mode of operation The Model 6585 Handheld Controller is powered by a transponder. To operate the handheld controller it must be connected to a transponder via the 9-pin cable. The handheld controller operates in two modes: the Program Mode and the Terminal Mode.
