OPERATION

There are two modes of noise-com operation:
VOX or Hands Free Operation - to
communicate the user simply speaks into the
noise-com microphone, Fig. 1 (3),
the noise-com push-to-talk (PTT) button,
Fig. 1 (4) is not used.
Push To Talk (PTT) Operation - to
communicate the user presses the
noise-com push-to-talk (PTT) button,
Fig. 1 (4), whilst speaking into the noise-com
microphone, Fig. 1 (3).
VOX or Hands Free Operation:
Ensure that the radio has been already
programmed to enable VOX operation using the
dealer radio programming software.
1. Always switch the radio OFF before
connecting the noise-com unit.
2. Attach the audio connector to the radio taking
care not to over tighten the fixing screw.
3. Press and hold down the noise-com PTT
button, Fig. 1 (4) and switch the radio ON -
care should be taken not to set the volume
level too loud.
4. Continue to hold down the noise-com PTT
button until the green radio light (LED) is
extinguished - release the noise-com PTT
button. The green radio light (LED) is
situated on top of the radio.
5. Speak into the noise-com microphone,
Fig. 1 (3), to check that the two-way
communication is working.
6. Adjust the noise-com speaker audio level
using the radio volume control.
7. Always switch the radio OFF before removing
the noise-com unit.
