Setting the Receive Mode (Only for the iR1570F model) The machine provides you with several modes for receiving faxes. The most appropriate receive mode depends on your device connections (→ p. 10), frequency of fax calls and so on. When you connect an external device, you need to set the receive mode in order to use its functions.

Installing CAPT software • Before you can print using the machine, you must install CAPT (Canon Advanced Printing Technology) software on your computer. • If there are any printer drivers of previous versions installed on your computer, be sure to delete those drivers from your computer before installing CAPT software.
Contents of the Attached CD-ROM CAPT (Canon Advanced Printing Technology) Software, USB Class Driver The CAPT (Canon Advanced Printing Technology) software enables your machine to print. Be sure to install it on your computer. USB class driver is a software utility for printing using USB port. Install USB class driver if you plan to connect the machine to your computer using USB cable.
