To remove the ExpressCard board:
a. Disconnect the ExpressCard board connector cable from the system board [1, 2].
b. Remove the screws that secure the ExpressCard board [3].
c. Lift and remove the ExpressCard board from the computer [4].
Installing the ExpressCard module
1.
Insert the ExpressCard board into the slot on the chassis.
2.
Connect the ExpressCard board connector cable to the system board.
3.
Install the screws that secure the ExpressCard board to the system board.
4.
Install the ExpressCard shroud.
5.
Install the screws that secure the ExpressCard shroud to the ExpressCard board.
6.
Connect the ExpressCard board shroud cable to the system board.
7.
Install the:
a.
optical drive
b.
hard drive
or
SSD
c.
base cover
d.
battery
