    1. If your computer is already on when you start this procedure, shut down the operating system and turn off the computer. 2. Press and hold the F1 key then turn on the computer. When the Lenovo BIOS Setup Utility program is displayed, release the F1 key.

After you set an Administrator Password, a password prompt is displayed every time you access the Lenovo BIOS Setup Utility program. This includes power cords, input/output (I/O) cables, and any other cables that are connected to the computer.

    Step 5. Push then slide the hard disk drive and bracket upward and out of the chassis as shown. Step 6. Push the pins and release the hard disk drive from the bracket. Step 7. Install the new hard disk drive as follows: Line up the new hard disk drive with the bracket and secure it with the pins.

Step 6. Push a small iron stick (paper clip) into the small hole on the optical drive cover so that the disk springs out as shown.

To install the new heat-sink: Line up the new heat-sink with mounting holes on motherboard and secure it with the 8 screws. Line up the system fan supporting bracket with the mounting holes on the motherboard and secure it with the 2 screws.
