    • This policy applies to all ThinkPad notebooks purchased on 1 January, 2008 or later. • Lenovo will not provide replacement if the LCD is within specification as we cannot guarantee that any replacement LCD will have zero pixel defects.

    To remove the write-protect screw, do the following: 1. Disable the battery. See “Disabling the battery” on page 48. 2. Disconnect the Lenovo USB-C 45W AC Adapter and all cables from the computer, and then remove the keyboard. See “1010 Keyboard” on page 48.

    To use the repair shim that you have created, do the following: 1. Turn off the write-protect function. See “Removing and reinstalling the write-protect screw” on page 22. 2. Attach the Lenovo USB-C 45W AC Adapter to the power connector on the computer. Press and hold esc and the refresh key , and then press the power button to start the computer and enter recovery mode.

    10. After the repair process finishes, the battery is disabled. The system is in a clean out-of-box state. In order to turn on the computer, attach the Lenovo USB-C 45W AC Adapter to the computer first. If applicable, customers must re-enroll the system for enterprise enrollment.

    Dynamic configure-to-order (CTO) model This model provides the ability for a customer to configure a Lenovo solution from a Web site, and have this configuration sent to fulfillment, where it is built and shipped directly to the customer. The machine label and eSupport will load these products as the 4-character MT, 4-character model, and 2-character country code.
