If getting almost out of toner when using the printer, a message appears on the display in case of LBP5900, or on the Printer Status Window in case of LBP5600, so follow the directions in the message.
Replacing the Toner Cartridges If a message appears, replace the toner cartridge of the indicated color with a new one. WARNING Do not throw a used toner cartridge into open flames, as this may cause the toner remaining inside the toner cartridge to ignite, resulting in burns or a fire. CAUTION Take care not to allow the toner to come into contact with your hands or clothing, as this will dirty your hands or clothing.

Replacing Drum Cartridges This section describes how to replace drum cartridges. When a Message Appears Drum cartridges are consumable products. When any drum cartridge is nearing the end of its life, a message appears on the display in case of LBP5900, or on the Printer Status Window in case of LBP5600, so follow the directions in the message.

Job Cancel allows you to cancel the job that currently being received or processed. This option does not affect the next print data or the jobs that have not been processed yet.
Deleting/Pausing/Resuming a Print Job (Only for LBP5600) You can delete, pause, or resume a job in the Printer Status Window. Start printing. The Printer Status Window appears. NOTE The Printer Status Window may not appear depending on the settings for [Display Printer Status Window] in the [Preferences] menu in the Printer Status Window.

Confirming the Printer Function In Case of LBP5900 This printer has the function of Status Print that allows you to confirm such as the settings in the menu. Use these functions when required after installing and connecting the printer, for example when you want to check the operation. The Status Print prints the list of the functions and settings in the menu that can be used currently.
