If the tablet you are servicing is not installed with the UEFI diagnostic program, download a bootable diagnostic program from the Lenovo Support Web site. The bootable diagnostic programs enable you to test tablet memory and internal storage devices, view system information, and check and recover the internal storage devices.
Power system checkout To verify if the power system is functional, do the following 1. Disconnect the ac power adapter and the Enhanced Keyboard Dock for ThinkPad Helix (hereafter referred to as the keyboard dock) from the tablet. 2. Press the power button to turn on the tablet. If the tablet can be turned on, it means that the tablet built-in battery is functional.
2. Click the battery status icon in the Windows notification area. If the keyboard dock built-in battery is functional, the item Battery #2 is displayed showing the battery status of the keyboard dock. If you cannot find this item, continue with the next step. 3.

Using the advanced startup options With the advanced startup options, you can change the firmware settings of the computer, change the startup settings of the Windows operating system, start the computer from an external device, or restore the Windows operating system from a system image. To use the advanced startup options, do the following: 1.

You still can start the computer from the recovery media, but you might be unable to recover your computer if the recovery partition on your computer is damaged.
Lenovo nor Lenovo authorized service technicians provide any services to reset either the user or the master hard disk password, or to recover data from the hard disk drive. The only Lenovo and Lenovo authorized servicer solution to put the system back to operational status would be to replace the drive for a scheduled fee.
Attention: You might want to take a note of your password and keep it in a safe place. If you forget your supervisor password, Lenovo cannot reset your password. You must take your tablet to a Lenovo reseller or a Lenovo marketing representative to have the system board replaced. Proof of purchase is required, and a fee will be charged for parts and service.
