• System Update (Windows 7 and Windows 8.1) The System Update program helps you keep the software on your computer up-to-date by downloading and installing software update packages. Examples of these software update packages include Lenovo programs, device drivers, UEFI BIOS updates, and other third-party programs.
When you register your computer, information is entered into a database, which enables Lenovo to contact you in case of a recall or other severe problem. After you register your computer with Lenovo, you will receive quicker service when you call Lenovo for help. In addition, some locations offer extended privileges and services to registered users.

Advanced configuration and power interface (ACPI) BIOS Being an ACPI BIOS system, the operating system is allowed to control the power management features of the computer and the setting for Advanced Power Management (APM) BIOS mode is ignored. 1. Apply some isopropyl rubbing alcohol to a soft, dust-free cloth. 2. Wipe each keytop surface with the cloth. Wipe the keys one by one; if you wipe several keys at a time, the cloth may hook onto an adjacent key and possibly damage it. Ensure that no liquid drips onto or between the keys.
The cause of a problem might be change in hardware, change in software, or any other actions that might have taken place.
