INTRODUCTION & ASSEMBLY
2.1.
Introduction
2.1.1. The AK424DX has a steel fabricated 24ltr reservoir, a telescopic steel drain pan and a metal filter grid. A venturi suction pump powers
the oil dipstick probes. Included is a set of three quick release, 675mm long probes - 5, 6 and 8mm diameter. Gravity or suction feed
oil drainer with air discharge. Fitted with an oil level indicator.
2.2.
Assembly
Note: Numbers in brackets refer to item numbers on the Parts Diagram.
2.2.1. Screw the oil drain pan (79) onto the support pipe valve (77), using connector (19).
3.
AIR SUPPLY
The recommended hook-up is shown in fig. 1.
3.1.
Ensure the air valve is in the "Off" position before connecting to the air supply.
3.2.
You will require an air pressure of 8 - 9 bar.
F
WARNING! Ensure the air supply is clean and does not exceed pressure
specified in these Instructions. Too high an air pressure and/or unclean air will
shorten the drainer life due to excessive wear, and may be dangerous, causing
damage and/or personal injury.
3.3.
Drain the compressor air tank daily. Water in the air line may damage the drainer.
3.4.
Clean the air inlet filter screen weekly.
3.5.
Line pressure should be increased to compensate for unusually long air hoses
(over 8 metres). The minimum hose diameter should be 10mm I.D. and fittings
must have the same inside dimensions.
3.6.
Keep hose away from heat, oil and sharp edges. Check hoses for wear and make certain that all connections are secure.
