Apply manually adjusted CMYK curves to all jobs
Introduction
Manual adjustment of CMYK curves for all jobs is system level. System-level CMYK curves are
added to the CMYK curves for media family calibration.
IMPORTANT
This adjustment applies to all files that use the media family/halftone combination.
Before you begin
For this procedure, the key operator password is required
Procedure
1.
Calibrate the printer.
2.
Touch [System] -> [Color adjustment] -> [Edit CMYK curves manually].
3.
Select the media family/halftone to adjust the CMYK curve.
4.
Press [Edit].
The window opens in [Basic mode].
5.
Make the adjustments.
• Use the colored slide bars to adjust the color adjustment curve by color.
• Use the + and - sign at the right of the K bar to adjust the density in one step.
6.
If required, touch [Advanced mode] in the upper-right corner.
The window opens by default with the color Cyan.
On the right, select the color to adjust.
On the left, select the areas to adjust.
At [Color clipping], you can define the clipping ranges.
At curves, you have three control points to adjust the calibrated CMYK curve.
7.
Repeat steps 3 to 6 for the next halftone.
8.
Touch the Save icon at the top to store the adjustments as a preset for later reuse.
