Figure 38. Removing the battery - 97 Wh
Steps
1. Disconnect the battery cable from the battery cable connector (BATT1) on the system board (if not disconnected earlier).
2. Loosen the three captive screws (M2x3) for 64 Wh battery or four captive screws (M2x3) for 97 Wh battery, as applicable,
that secure the battery to the palm-rest assembly.
3. Lift the battery off the palm-rest assembly.
4. Flip the battery and peel the tape that adheres the battery cable to the battery.
5. Remove the battery cable from the routing guides on the battery.
6. Disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the battery.
7. Remove the battery cable away from the battery.
