Queue server mode and remote printer mode
The queue server mode and the remote printer mode are both compatible.
Queue server mode
When the queue server mode is used, the hardware and software for other
print servers is not required because queue server mode contains all the
print server functions. In NDS queue server mode (NDS PServer), the
NDS print server is used to print. In the bindery queue server mode
(Bindery PServer), the bindery print server is used to print. In the queue
server mode, one NetWare
interface board used in the network.
Remote printer mode
When the remote printer mode is used, the printer is controlled by the
NetWare
print server is used to print in the NDS remote printer mode (NPrinter),
and a bindery print server is used to print in the bindery remote printer
mode (RPrinter).
