Symptom
0101/0106/010A/010D/0102/0107/010B/010E Jam Code due to multi feeding resulting from
picked-up paper separation failure

Symptom
Multi-feed jam (0101/0106/010A/010D jam) occurred when a stack of paper having low separation
performance is fed from a deck or a cassette.
- 0101: Right Deck Pickup Sensor 1 Delay Jam
- 0106: Left Deck Pickup Sensor 1 Delay Jam
- 010A: Cassette 3 Pickup Sensor 1 Delay Jam
- 010D: Cassette 4 Pickup Sensor 1 Delay Jam
Cause
When paper having low separation performance is used, multi feeding of two or more sheets may occur at
the pick-up roller, causing those sheets to be fed to the feed roller and the separation roller. Accordingly, the
separation roller cannot separate the multi-feed sheets, resulting in the symptom.
Service work
By following the procedure below, reduce the pressure applied from the separation roller to the feed roller in
the deck/cassette pick-up unit, so as to increase the performance for separating the multi-feed sheets.
A) Procedure for adjusting the pressure of the separation roller in the right deck pickup unit
A-1) Remove 2 screws to remove the right rear cover 2.
A-2) Remove 1 connector, the reuse band, and 1 screw.
A-3) Open the right cover. Remove the E-ring to remove the door link.
