7) Remove the wire saddle, the reuse band, 2 connectors, and 2 screws to remove the fixing drive unit 2.
8) Fit the protrusion [b] of the fixing shutter [2] into the groove [a] of the fixing shutter drive gear (front)
[1] on mounting the fixing drive unit 2. [C] shows the right appearance after mounting whereas [D] shows
the wrong one.
9) Install the removed parts and units in reverse order from the step 7).
[Caution]
- Make sure to restore the fixing pin for the shutter drive gear (front) to the the original position in the
step 5) after removing it in the step 6). If the fixing pin is not restored to the original position, turning on
the main power will cause E840-0001.
- Make sure to restore the fixing pin for the shutter drive gear (rear) to the original position in the step 3)
after removing it in the step 4). If the fixing pin is not restored to the original position, turning on the main
power will cause E840-0001.
10) Make 20 sheets or so of test print with A4R or LTRR paper and see if E840-0001 does not occur any
more.
