E503-0041/E503-0051 due to the problem of PUNCH-IF, the system of Professional Puncher
Integration Unit-B1, prior to ver.11.01

Description
E503-0041 or E503-0051 occurred in a machine with the options of Professional Puncher Integration
Unit-B1, Professional Puncher-C1, and Booklet/Staple Finisher-D1/F1.

E503-0051: Error in communication between Professional Puncher Integration Unit-B1 and Professional
Puncher-C1
Cause
Because there was the problem in PUNCH-IF, the system of Professional Puncher Integration Unit-B1, prior
to ver.11.01.
Field Remedy
Upgrade PUNCH-IF, the system of Professional Puncher Integration Unit-B1, to ver.11.01 or later.
[Caution] When upgrading to PUNCH-IF Ver.11.01 or later, pay attention to the combination of the versions.
Symptom
E503-0003 mainly on installation
[Case in the field ]
Description
The E503-0003 is generated after the installation of the Pro Punch and Integration unit.
Field Remedy
The main cause of this code on installation is the main power switch on the Pro Punch unit is in the "OFF"
qposition. The power switch must be in the "ON" position prior to power cycling the imageRUNNER. The
power switch on the Pro Punch unit should remain in the "ON" position thereafter.
