c. Click Apply.
d. Click Close to close the screen.
e. In the VxFlex OS GUI, select the Monitor > Alerts tab to display the list
of alerts.
f. Verify that the alert Secure Connection disabled on MDM is
triggered.
To enable AMS-MDM secure connectivity (to move from non-secure to

secure connectivity):
a. Verify that the Enable AMS Secured Connection checkbox is
deselected.
b. Select the Enable AMS Secured Connection checkbox.
c. Click Apply.
d. Click Close to close the screen.
e. On the VxFlex OS GUI, select the Monitor > Alerts tab to display the list
of alerts.
f. Verify that the alert Secure Connection disabled on MDM is
removed.
Set up the secure or non-secure connectivity between AMS and MDM, using the AMS
CLI. The default setting is secure AMS-MDM connectivity.

Ensure that you have:
The user name and password for logging in to the AMS server

About this task
It is recommended to always use a secure AMS-MDM connection for accessing the
VxFlex OS MDM. Only when access to the MDM is denied, for reasons such as
expiration of a security certificate, and you need MDM access for maintenance, should
you disable the secure AMS-MDM connection. You should fix the issue, and then
enable the secure AMS-MDM connection again.
