Create Datastores.
The Datastores Creation window is displayed.

c. If you type a number greater than 1, the characters %i% will be added to the
Name box, and multiple volumes will be created, accordingly.
The volumes will be named and numbered automatically, starting from 1. The
remaining options in the window will be assigned to all the volumes created
in this operation.
3. Type a name in the Name box.
If you are adding multiple volumes, they will all be created with the same name,
and a number will be appended instead of the characters %i%.
These characters can be positioned anywhere in the name. The names that will
be created are displayed in the right pane of the window.
4. Type a number in the Size box, representing the volume size in GB (basic
allocation granularity is 8 GB).
5. Select either Thick (default) or Thin provisioning options.
6. If you want to enable the RAM Read Cache feature, select Use RAM Read
Cache.
7. Click Create.
The Map Volumes step is displayed, showing a list of the volumes that will be
mapped.
8. In the Select Nodes panel, select one or more SDCs to which you want to map
the volumes.
You can use the search box to find SDCs.
l
If you select an SDC that is already mapped to the volume, a green icon will
l
appear in the mapping matrix on the right side of the window.
9. Click Map Volumes.
The Create Datastores step is displayed.
10. In the Create Datastores step, type the datastore name.
The datastore name is a combination of the entered datastore name, and the

are appended to indicate the index number of the datastore.
