snmp.port
SNMP traps for system alerts are
sent to a trap receiver via this port.
The VxFlex OS Gateway sends
messages to:
snmp.traps_receiver_ip on the port
snmp.port
If you change the port number,
restart the VxFlex OS Gateway
afterwards.
Used by VxFlex OS internal
debugging tools to extract live
information from the system for
debugging purposes.
When multiple SDSs are installed on
the same physical server, use ports
x , where x is the index of the
2564+
SDS (for example, 25641, 25642).
The AMS uses this port to connect
to the SVM and hosts via SSH
during deployment and post
deployment for management and
monitoring.
Internet Control Message Protocol
(ICMP) is a supporting protocol in
the Internet protocol suite.
The AMS uses this protocol to ping
the SVM, host and iDRAC IPs to
check connectivity.
