Description/Notes
Displays events, which can be filtered by optional switches.

/opt/emc/scaleio/mdm/bin/showevents.py --severity ERROR
The MDM syslog service can send VxFlex OS events, via TCP/IP, to RFC 6587-
compliant remote (or local) Syslog servers. Messages are sent with facility local0,
by default.
Once the syslog service is started, all events will be sent until the service is stopped.
This section describes how to use the CLI to start, stop, and configure the facility field
of the syslog events.
Start posting events to remote syslog servers
Syntax
scli --start_remote_syslog --remote_syslog_server_ip
<IP> [--remote_syslog_server_port <PORT>]
[--syslog_facility <FACILITY>] [--attach_event_code]
Description
Displays events with at least the specified
minimum severity
Displays events with the specified severity
Displays all events starting from the given ID
Displays all events ending at the given ID
Displays all events starting from the given
date
Displays all events ending at the given date
Displays events containing the specified text
Extends message verbosity
