Identifying the SSD used for caching
The Property Sheet displays information about the node. The SVM
Management IP address shown on the Property Sheet is the SDS's IP address.
About this task
The Property Sheet in the Hardware view can be used to determine whether the SSD
is being used for caching.
To view SSD use, perform the following steps:
Procedure
1. In the Hardware view, navigate to the node, and in the middle panel, Front view
click one of the storage devices.
The information displayed differs depending on the selected node and device.

2. In the uppermost part of the Physical Drive Properties Property Sheet, check
if the Type is SSD or HDD.
a. If the drive type is SDD, proceed to the next step.
b. If the drive type is HDD, click other drives in the Front view until you find an
SSD, and then proceed to the next step.
3. Expand the Logical Drive Properties section. If the SSD drive is used for
caching, the property Used as Read Flash Cache: Yes is displayed. If the SSD
drive is not used for caching, the property Used as Read Flash Cache: No is
displayed.
a. If the SSD drive is used for caching, the property Used as Read Flash
Cache: Yes is displayed.
b. If the SSD drive is not used for caching, the property Used as Read Flash
Cache: No is displayed.
