Enter a range of IP addresses that is at least equal to the number of servers
being added.
4. When you have finished, click Save.
After VxFlex OS has been deployed, you can use the VxFlex OS GUI to add default
DNS and NTP IP addresses to the system.
About this task
Procedure
1. In the VxFlex OS GUI, from the System Settings menu at the top right side of
the window, select the System Settings option.
The System Settings window is displayed.
2. In the panel on the left, click DNS and NTP.
3. Select the type of server to which you want to allocate IP addresses: DNS
Default IP Addresses or NTP Default IP Addresses.
4. In the DNS Default IP Addresses and NTP Default IP Addresses boxes, enter
the desired IP addresses.
Note:
Only IP addresses can be entered in these boxes. Do not use host
names.
5. To apply on ESX servers, ensure that the Apply on ESX check boxes are
selected.
6. When you have finished, click Save.
This section explains how to configure connection properties, to allow communication
between the VxFlex OS system and ESRS (EMC Secure Remote Support) servers.
ESRS can be used by ASP Partners for remote hardware support. For more
information about using ESRS, refer to ESRS documentation.
You can only use the ESRS feature if you have a valid VxFlex OS license installed.
Before you begin
Before configuring ESRS, you need the following:
One or more IP addresses of the ESRS servers

ESRS user and password credentials
l
The AMS IP address to be used as the Connect-In IP address. It must be an IP
l
address that is accessible from the ESRS Gateway (for example, in case of NAT).
To configure ESRS settings, perform the following:

System Settings option.
